stone circles is a small organization working to bring big changes to the world.

Our mission is to sustain activists and strengthen the work of justice through spiritual practice and principles. Since 1995 we have provided thousands of social change leaders and activists all over the country with access to a new way of thinking, doing and being. We know another world is possible, and to stay engaged while creating that world requires training, practice and support. This is transformational work, the value of which has been recognized in every human era, in every human culture. Today, agents of change are hungry to explore the deeper aspects of being in order to support their own doing in the world. Yet in our society there are few spaces that fully embrace social responsibility and few places of action that value stillness. People are searching for paths that fully reflect their commitment to freedom. We believe that practices and communities of transformation are necessary for us to realize the individual liberation that is our birthright and the collective liberation that is our responsibility. This is what we're about. This is why we're here.

The Stone House

Most of our work is based at The Stone House, a center for spiritual life and strategic action on 70 acres in Mebane, NC. The Stone House is a place of sanctuary and training for agents of progressive social change. It is a place to gather strength, share stories, eat good food, develop strategies, engage in deep practice and learn from silence in order to build capacity for powerful change in the world.
